Complex OJSC to do excavating works in Kozmino Bay

Complex OJSC has won the contract for excavating works within the framework of construction of a specialized oil port in Kozmino Bay (Nakhodka) to the amount of 2.2 million tonnes, PrimaMedia reports.

For that purpose in late March Nakhodka Administration leased out plots of land with total area of 144 hectares. Earlier Transneft management said the construction of a specialized oil port in Kozmino Bay was to be started in April 2008 with completion scheduled for 2009. The first phase envisages delivery of oil by railway to the sea to be then reloaded to 100,000-dwt tankers. Initial capacity of the port is to make 15 million tonnes per year with the increase to 50 million tonnes at the second phase.
