Color Line has sent out a notice for termination of the service from Hirtshals to Oslo as from May 6. The decision will affect around 350 Norwegian seafarers, which will be laid off. The reason for the termination of the service is according to Color Line a drop in the number of passengers on the service since the switch from Color Festival to Prinsesse Ragnhild. Unofficial rumours is that Color Line has managed to find a buyer for the Prinesse Ragnhild and want to sell the fairly old vessel (built 1978, but rebuilt several time) as quickly as possible. Instead of the service to Oslo Color Line will sail with the two Superspeed-ferries from Hirtshals to Larvik and Kristianssand and the two cruiseferries on the Oslo-Kiel service. Color Line also sails on the Sandefjord-Strømstad service.
