Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov has strongly criticized the program for the development of Russia's transportation system approved during a cabinet meeting on Thursday, RBC reports. The program is not feasible, as RUB 13.9 trillion (approx. USD 593bn) that is projected to be allocated for the purpose is not enough to implement it, Luzhkov said. He added that there were 3.2m cars in Moscow alone and over 5m including cars from the Moscow region. The city's roads are hugely overcrowded, and much more funds are required to carry out the program, Luzhkov stated.
