Greece has signed an intergovernmental agreement with Russia on joining the South Stream gas pipeline construction project, RBC reports. The document was signed by Russia's Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko and Greece's Development Minister Christos Folias during a Greek delegation's visit to Moscow. The delegation, led by Greek Prime Minister Konstandinos Karamanlis, arrived in the Russian capital at President Vladimir Putin's invitation and will leave Moscow on Wednesday.
