On April 29, Federal Tariff Service (FTS) decided to introduce amendments into the order of FTS dated December 18, 2007 "on approval of tariffs for transportation of oil products by main pipelines of AK Transnefteproduct OJSC, FTS press release reads.
According to the document, maximal tariff for execution of orders and oil product logistics when exporting oil products outside the customs area of Russia and countries of Customs Union Agreements via the port of Primorsk (Russia) and then outside the Russian Federation will make RUR 681.20 per tonne (VAT excluded) from May 1. In early 2008, construction of the linear part of oil products pipeline "Vtorovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk" (“Sever” project) was completed. The “Sever” project is intended for transporting diesel fuel produced by Russian oil refineries for export through the sea terminal in Primorsk. The overall length of the first stage of construction is 1,056 kilometers. The capacity of the first stage is 17 million tons of diesel fuel. When the pipeline reaches maximum capacity the "Sever" project will allow the transportation of 24,6 million tons
