Klaipeda Port posts a 13.2-percent rise in freight volumes

In Jan-Jul, 2010 the port of Klaipeda has seen 17.42 million tons, 13.2% up from the same period a year earlier. In two recent months the seaport handled 2,402m and 2,465m tons, respectively, Baltic Course reports citing the Port Authority statement.
 
The Klaipeda Port Authority said trade flows via the port might grow by 2 million tons, to 30 million tons of cargo by the end of this year.
