Visotsk posts a 10-percent exports drop in Jan-Jul, to 7m tons

Exports volumes via transshipment complex Vysotsk LUKOIL-II (Leningrad region) in January-July 2010 shrank by 10% compared with the same period of 2009, to 7,07 million tons, the Port Vysotsk statistics said. In July petroleum products exports from the terminal amounted to 1,214,000 tons (390,000 tons of VGO, 470,000 tons of diesel and 350,000 tons of fuel oil).

According to forecast of LUKOIL, the terminal’s throughput in 2010 is expected to be retained on the 2009’s level (about 14 million tons). Traders predict that from the beginning of 2011 export transshipment of VGO via Vysotsk LUKOIL-II might stop to be replaced by heavy fuel oil.

Marine Terminal DTC Vysotsk LUKOIL-II is owned by Russia's largest private oil company LUKOIL. The terminal is transshipping exported petroleum products produced by the company’s enterprises in Russia. Last year’s exports volume through Vysotsk LUKOIL-II totaled 13.9 million tons.
