This was compared with the 15,2-million tons exported during June.
The Port Hedland Port Authority reported that manganese exports also fell to 96 847 t, compared with the 100 850 t reported in June.
However, copper concentrate export for the same period increased to 40 778 t, compared with the 38 466 t reported for June.
China remained the top export destination for iron-ore from Port Hedland, accounting for 66%, or 9,7-million tons. The Asian super power also imported around 96 847 t of manganese ore from Port Hedland, as well as 11 376 t of copper.
India imported 18 602 t of copper from the port, while Japan and Korea took second and third place for iron-ore imports, at 1,8-million tons, and 2,1-million tons respectively.
