In July, container traffic via the port totaled 730.745 TEUs, a 26.82-percent rise over the same period in 2009.
Port of Los Angeles is the largest seaport of the United States. The Port’s area covers 3.5 hectares. It has 27 freight terminals for bulk, liquid cargoes, containerized cargoes and autos. Last year, the port of Los Angeles handled 6.7 million TEUs.
