Foreign investment in Russia's economy at $30.4bn in H1, 2010
Accrued foreign capital in Russia's economy stood at $262.6bn as of the end of June, or 8.3 percent higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The share of direct investments and portfolio investments stood at 40.6 and 4.2 percent, respectively.
The amount of Russia's accrued investment in foreign countries stood at $69.4bn at the end of H1. The country allocated a total of $51.1bn in investments, 17.5 percent more than in H1 2009. Cyprus, the Netherlands, the USA, the Virgin Islands, the UK, Belarus, Austria, Luxembourg, and Ukraine were among the key recipients of Russia's investments.
