Port workers are striking over government reformsWorkers at the Fos and Lavera oil terminals at the french port of Marseilles are to hold a 24-hour strike, reports Inchcape Shipping Services (Inchcape). The strike will start on August 20 at 6:00 a.m. and will end a day later on August 21 at 6:00 a.m.
The CGT (General Confederation of Labour) trade union called all ports to strike over government plans to reform state-run ports.
Inchcape warns that loading and discharging could be stopped during the period and berthing/unberthing postponed.
