Rosgranitsa OKs the technological scheme for Tuapse checkpoint

The Coordinating board of Tuapse sea border checkpoint has approved a technological scheme of crossing procedure of the state border of the Russian Federation by persons, vehicles, cargo, goods and animals, Rosgranitsa (Federal Agency for the arrangement of the Russian state border) press release said.
 
During the meeting, the Coordinating board also discussed the need to define the boundaries of Tuapse sea border checkpoint, in accordance with the new governmental decrees (August 2, 2010 N593) «On approval of rules for establishing the boundaries of checkpoints at the state border of the Russian Federation."

Vladimir Shmatko, deputy chief of Rosgranitsa’s Southern Department, appointed the head of the border crossing point administration (Rosgranitsa’s July 9, N74th order) was introduced to the Coordinating board.

The next meeting of the Coordinating board of Tuapse sea border checkpoint is scheduled for September 2010.

Port of Tuapse is located on the Black Sea’s North-East, Tuapse Bay, Krasnodar Territory. The Tuapse harborage is separated from seaway by the South pier, southwestern and western breakwaters. Tuapse is ranked the second, next to Novorossiysk, of Russia’s major ports on the Black Sea. Tuapse and Novorossiysk ports are engaged in exports of Russian petroleum products. In 2009 Tuapse’s throughput totaled 18.44 million tons of cargo.
