Seaport Olga is located on the northwest coast of Japan Sea in the Gulf of Olga between the Cape of Manevsky and the island of Chikhachev. The port is accessible even during winter seasons (early November to late April) as the ice does not hinder year-round navigation in the harborage. The port is not linked to the Russian railway network. Goods are moved to the port by trucks. The Olga port’s handles annually some 200,000 tons of cargo, largely exported timber and pulpchips. The boundaries of the seaport of Olga were established by the Government’s order dated 17 October 2009 N1533-p.
