The seven-month volume of civilian production in the Russian shipbuilding industry shrank by 15.8% compared with Jan-July, 2009, the Russia’s Ministry of Industry said.
According to the Ministry, first and foremost, this was largely due to a decline in the shipbuilding production at the Vyborg Shipyard JSC, Baltiysky Shipyard JSC, Proletarsky Plant JSC, Dalzavod JSC, Shipbuilding Center Zvezdochka JSC, Zelenodolsky Plant of Maxim Gorky JSC.
At the same time, there has been an increase in production at Production Association Sevmash JSC, Red Barricades Shipyard JSC, Okskaya Shipyard JSC, Admiralty Shipyards JSC, Krasnoye Sormovo JSC, Yaroslavl Shipyard JSC and Novorossiysk Shipyard JSC.
Okskaya Shipyard has delivered to the customer two tankers, building another vessel of 00216 project of 6,600DWT for AETINC Ltd. and five dry cargo ships ordered by EBV-Leasing. Kazakhstan has taken delivery of the two 19619 Project tankers from Red Sormovo Shipyard, two tanker of project 19614 have been delivered to the customer in Cyprus (one more is being under construction). The Shipbuilding, Ship repair plant of October Revolution JSC has completed and delivered a small fishing trawler, and is building another nine seiners. Svirskaya Shipyard JSC has delivered the Argo hovercraft, while four more vessels are under construction.
