Export of crude oil from Russia increased in January-July by 8 percent, compared with the same period of 2009, to 145 million tons, RBC reports citing the Russian Energy Ministry’s operational data.
exports to foreign countries in the seven months increased by 6.8% and made up 129.7 million tons, while the exports to CIS countries shrank by 29%, to 15.3 million tons due to lower supplies to Belarus.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the growth of exchange oil prices in January-June was about 50% of the corresponding period of 2009, while export contract prices for Russian crude surged 59.2%, to $527.6 a ton. Average producers’ oil price in July 2010 amounted to 6,177 rubles. / t, a 0.7-percent gain over the previous month.
The Ministry of Finance sees a growth of Russian crude exports to at least 248 million tons by 2013.
In 2009 Russia exported 247.6 million tons of crude oil.
