Nigerian LNG tanker arrives in Brazil

Nigerian liquefied natural gas tanker LNG Imo arrived in Brazil on Monday, after being re-routed away from Britain, according to AIS Live ship tracking data on Reuters.

The vessel, which can carry around 148,000 cubic metres of super-cooled gas, had previously been scheduled to deliver its cargo to Britain's Dragon LNG terminal on Monday but was re-routed to Brazil in early August.

Brazilian state-controlled oil and gas company Petrobras , which sources said was the buyer of the Nigerian cargo, operates the Guanabara LNG terminal near Rio where the vessel appears to be headed.
