Rosmorport plans expansion of Kaliningrad Sea Canal
Rosmorport plans to widen and deepening of the Kaliningrad Sea Canal, an official of the federal enterprise said.
Nikolai Mamenko, head of commercial department of the Kaliningrad branch of Rosmorport, said the dredging contract will be executed by the state company in conjunction with some private investors (in particular, with Sodruzhestvo-Soya).
Rosmorport will be responsible for marine part of the project. Upon completion a 27km-long stretch of the canal will be deepened to 10.5 meters.
