The group Russian Transportation Lines (RTL) is going to develop as a 4-PL operator, a spokesperson to the Group told the Automotive Supply Chain conference.
Denis Chesnokov said the company intends to continue to introduce new IT innovations providing services such as tactical planning, optimization, monitoring, supervising and operational management.
RTL Group (RTL) was founded in 2004 as a 3PL provider. In 2005, the company started operating directly with major car manufacturers. The company is a leader on the market of customs clearance of vehicles, specializes in providing best logistics solutions for import of vehicles, equipment, auto parts, etc for car assembly plants. In 2006, RTL Group in conjunction with Marine Fish Port commissioned the first Russian marine terminal for handling imported vehicles at the port of St. Petersburg.
