First transit cargo goes from China to port Osaka (Japan) by transport corridor Primorje-1
Nakhodka customs has cleared the first transit cargo going to port Osaka (Japan) by international transport corridor Primorje-1. According to the press center of the Far East Customs, the container with chopsticks from China (Suifenhe) entered port Vostochny after transiting the territory of the Russian Federation.
International transport corridor Primorje-1 was created within the framework of the Expanded Tumagan Initiative involving the Russian Federation, China, Korean Republic and Mongolia. It is intended for container transportation of cargo from the northern provinces of China via Suifenhe, Grodekovo and port Vostochny (Primorsk Territory) to the Asia-Pacific countries. The route is some 500 km long while an alternative route via Chinese port Dalian runs for some 1,300 km and it is overloaded already, the statements says.
