Throughput of Chinese ports up 1.4% to 3.67 bln t in Jan-Apr’15

In January-April 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 1.4%, year-on-year, to 3.67 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 2.57 (+0.2%), river ports – 1 bln t (+4.2%).

Container throughput climbed 6.3% to 66.71 mln TEUs including 60 mln TEUs in seaports (+5.9%) and 6.71 mln TEUs in river ports (+9.7%).
