Throughput of port Azov up 27.2% to 1.361 mln t in Jan-March'16

In January-March 2016, seaport of Azov handled 27.2% to 1.361 mln t of cargo (+27.1%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews. 

In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed 45.1% to 989,000 t, transshipment of coal – up by 0.6% to 127,000 t, transshipment of oil products fell by 21.7% to 166,000 t,

In January-March 2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport climbed by 28.5% to 1.359 mln t, exports surged 42% to 1.217 mln t,  imports fell by 35% to 29,000 t, coastal trade cargo – by 27.4% to 113,000 t, transit – 4.8 times to 3,000 t.

The number of incoming/outgoing ships amounted to 421/404 against 308/311 registered in Jan-March'16.

Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
