Net profit of Northern Shipping Company in QI’2016 up 12.7%, y-o-y, to RUB 85.4 mln

In January-March 2016, net profit of Northern Shipping Company OJSC totaled RUB 85.4 mln, which is 12.7% more than in the same period of 2015, the Company says.

The Company’s revenue increased by 22.6%.

Gross profit totaled RUB 149.4 mln.

The volume of cargo carried in the reported period increased by 23.8%, cargo turnover – by 48.6%.

Northern Shipping Company OJSC is among the largest shipping companies in the North-West Region of Russia engaged in maritime transportation of cargo all over the world including the Northern Sea Route. The Company’s fleet consists of multi-purpose dry cargo carriers with deadweight between 2,500 and 14,000 t. They carry all types of dry cargo including radioactive and hazardous cargo.
