Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg down 8% to 19.96 mln t in 5M’16
In January-May 2016, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 19.96 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 37% to 2.78 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 13% to 2.95 mln t, general cargo – climbed by 1% to 5.01 mln t.
The port’s container throughput increased by 3% to 738,160 TEUs.
In 2015, the port handled 51.51 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.71 mln TEUs.
