Throughput of port Kaliningrad in 6M’18 up 9% Y-o-Y to 7.20 million tonnes
In January-June 2018, the port of Kaliningrad handled 7,209,900 tonnes of cargo, up 9%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo dropped by 119% to 1,136,800 tonnes including 542,700 tonnes of coal (+51%), 6,200 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (up 2.2 times) and 580,600 tonnes of other cargoes (-44%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo grew by 22% to 2,246,400 tonnes, general cargo – by 17% to 605,739.4 tonnes.
The port also handled 641,100 tonnes of cargo carried by ferries (-13%) and 1.84 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+30%) including 1,165,000 tonnes of oil products (+58%), 293,700 tonnes of crude oil (-11%) and 358,400 (+12%).
The port’s container throughput grew by 4%, year-on-year, to 123,649 TEUs.
