In January-March 2019, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 653,000 tonnes of cargo (-19%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of oil products grew by 14% to 254,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 28% to 36,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, transshipment of grain plunged by 48% to 190,000 tonnes, coal – fell by 18% to 120,000 tonnes.
Imports grew by 38% to 29,000 tonnes while exports fell by 18% to 406,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 25% to 219,000 tonnes.
In January-March 2019, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 168 arrivals and 163 departures including port fleet vessels versus 208 arrivals and 198 departures in January-March 2018.
