Moscow Refinery OJSC has started repair works and routine maintenance scheduled for 50 days by the company’s business plan for 2008, the company’s press center reports according to RosFinCom IA. From April 1, 2008, the refinery terminates primary and secondary distillation of oil. From April 1 till May 22, 2008 repair works and routine maintenance will be carried out at the plant including installation of a catalytic cracking unit. It is the major unit for production of components for high-octane gasoline. From April 15 till May 22, 2008 the works will be carried out at ЭЛОУ-АВТ-6, which is the main unit for primary distillation of oil.
Production of high-octane gasoline will be cut but continued (64,736 tonnes in April and 91,415 tonnes in May).
The Moscow Refinery became a joint stock company in 1994-95. In 1997, the state-owned controlling block of stock was transferred into the ownership of Moscow. In May 1997, according to the decision taken at a general meeting of the company’s shareholders, Moscow Refinery entered the Central Fuel Company set up by the Moscow Government. In 2001 it fell under the management of MNK/CTK. From January 1, 2006, Moscow Refinery started production of high-octane gasoline according to ecological requirements 952-ПП dated December 28, 2004 of the Moscow Government. In March 2006, the plant’s BOD approved the decision on feasibility study for investments into reconstruction and modernization of Moscow Refinery in 2007-2015. The company’s authorized capital makes RUR 78.833.2 million.
