CS Cargo plans to enter Russia’s logistics market by mid 2008

CS Cargo plans to enter Russia’s market of logistics services by the middle of 2008. The Group already has representative offices in five countries of the Central and East Europe. As PortNews IAA learnt from the company, the Group’s target is to expand Russia’s automobile fleet to 100 units and to form a professional team.

According to Tomáš Faller, Chief Operating Officer of CS Cargo, the market of Russia is very attractive due to high investments into automobile industry, which guarantees orders valued at 50% of the company’s total turnover.

CS Cargo has recently signed a contract to buy 1,500 Mercedes-Benz trucks worth 4.5 billion crowns ($278.8 million).

Last year the company completed the deal on purchase of Š midbersk ý Transport (Czech Republic) and mGal spedition (Slovakia). It also expanded its presence in other states of Central Europe, Tom áš Faller, comments.
