On initiative of the Ministry of transport of the RF a meeting was held in Vladivostok, where the question of transport of cargoes to Russkiy Island was discussed, vladivostoktimes.com informs. The participants of the meeting were the vice-Head of the Federal agency of sea and river transport Igor RUSU, the vice-Head of the Federal agency of railway transport Igor NIKOLAYENKO, the General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport" Yuri PARFENOV, the representatives of the governing bodies of other State organizations, project institutes, responsible for preparation of infrastructure to the Summit, and the first persons of transport enterprises of the Primorsky Territory.
As the direction on public relations of the Vladivostok Sea Port reported to RIA PrimaMedia, during the meeting several schemes, by which the delivery of building materials to Russkiy Island, were examined. As a possible variant, transshipment of most cargoes at moorages of the Ulis Bay was examined. However in connection with the lack of necessary infrastructure, possible closing of the tunnel named after Stalin and placement of the terminal station of OJSC "Mostovik" (the contractor of the project of the bridge to Russkiy Island), this variant is only for transshipment of a small part of cargoes. The most rational variant is construction of the railway to moorages of the VSTP around the Shkot peninsula from the existing sorting park of the station of Vladivostok. It was offered by the General Director of OJSC "VSTP" Vyacheslav PERTSEV and the vice-President of Transport group FESCO on port division Andrei TOKAREV, supported by the vice-Head of the Federal Agency of sea and river transport Igor RUSU and the General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport" Yuri PARFENOV. According to this offer after putting an extra railway into operation, which goes around Shkot peninsula, inert cargoes in a specialized train will freely reach moorages of VSTP and from there be delivered to Russkiy Island by sea. An extra railway will help to unload the roads of Vladivostok, and also will maintain preservation of cleanness of city streets.
All the participants of the meeting found such scheme "the only one possible" and confirmed the complex of measures for including of the project on construction of the necessary railway into the list of Activities of the subprogram "Development of Vladivostok as the center of international cooperation in the Asian-Pacific region" of the Federal Purpose program "Economic and social development of the Far East and Zabaikalye to 2013." Obviously, in future the created infrastructure can be used for transshipment of a big amount of highly technologic cargoes (containers). This fact completely corresponds with priorities of development of the Primorsky Territory transport system.
