In January-March, 2008, cargo handling of Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port grew by 25.5%, year-on-year, to 361,876 tonnes, the company reports. In the reported period, transshipment of export cargo increased by 2.2 times to 208,499 tonnes, while transshipment of import cargo fell by 24.2%, year-on-year, to 46,923 tonnes, coastal trade cargo – fell by 11.3% to 97,658 tonnes. Turnover of local cargo amounted to 8,796 tonnes (down 2.4 times against January-March 2007).
