Ships detachment of RF Navy’s Pacific Fleet arrive on business call to Kingdom of Thailand
Today, the detachment of Pacific Fleet ships, consisting of the Pacific Fleet’s flagship missile cruiser Varyag, large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleev, and the medium-sized sea tanker Pechenga arrived calling at the Sattahip main naval base of the Kingdom of Thailand, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
At the military pier of the port of Chuk Samet, a ceremony will be held to meet the crews of Russian ships, in which the military attache of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, representatives of the command of the main naval base of the Kingdom of Thailand will take part.
Today, a series of bilateral organizational meetings is planned on the issues of parking of Pacific Fleet ships, and tomorrow their commanders will pay a courtesy visit to the commander of the main naval base Sattahip.
The visit will last till October 20.
The detachment of Pacific Fleet ships left Vladivostok on a long three-month expedition to the Pacific Rim on October 1.
